“There is no conversation between clubs.” – Get French Football News

[ad_1]

Marseille President Pablo Longoria pumped the breaks on Mattéo Guendouzi’s transfer rumors in today’s press conference. There were reports of the French international having interest from “big clubs”, one of them being Aston Villa.

The president spoke about the situation stating, “I read the information in the press like you. There is no conversation between clubs, we haven’t received any offers. I don’t know if it’s discussed with the player’s entourage. It’s that speculation.”

However, his comments do not suggest that the Premier League club has no interest in the OM midfielder. In fact, According to RMC, Aston Villa are ready to make an initial offer of around 30 million euros to obtain the in-form Frenchmen. The Premier League club may even go up to 40 million euros, including bonuses per their reporting.

Though the transfer amount would be great business from OM, Guendouzi has become a fan favorite and a driving force for much of the team’s success. When you consider his versatility and production there are very few players available in the transfer window who can replace him. Also taking into consideration Marseille’s injuries it may be too difficult for the club to let him go this winter.
