Azzedine Ounahi doesn’t favour Leeds United move – Get French Football News

[ad_1]

L’Équipe are reporting that SCO Angers midfielder Azzedine Ounahi (22) doesn’t favour a move to Leeds United, who recently made a €25m bid for the player.

Ounahi was one of the standout players of the FIFA World Cup, which concluded in Qatar last month. He was part of a Morocco team that made history by becoming the first African side to reach the semi-finals of the tournament. The midfielder plays his club football at Angers, who are currently bottom of Ligue 1, and the club’s president Saïd Chabane is resigned to letting the player leave.

After his breakthrough World Cup, Ounahi has attracted interest across Europe. Leicester City and Barcelona were initially touted as possible destinations, but more concrete offers are now starting to arrive for the player. According to L’Équipe, Napoli have tabled an offer of €15m, whilst Leeds have offered €25m. However, Ounahi himself reportedly doesn’t favour a move to the Yorkshire club at this moment. La Liga side Almería are also interested in the Moroccan international but aren’t prepared to spend more than €10m without bonuses.
