According to Sébastien Denis, there are currently three Bundesliga clubs interested in FC Lorient winger Stéphane Diarra (24) – the names of which are yet to filter through. A departure before the end of his contract running until 2025 could become a possibility.
It will be Diarra’s third year with Les Merlus, and certainly on of his more impressive seasons: being involved in 16 matches this season for a Lorient side that has surprised many under Régis Le Bris. He is now considered an important element of the side which currently sits 6th in Ligue 1. It is reported that the profile of the player is one which appeals Bundesliga clubs, and as stated above, there are currently three unamed clubs chasing his signature from Germany.
Lorient signed Diarra as an exciting prospect at the age of 21 from National 1 side Le Mans with Les Merlus batting off interest from Lille and Marseille to sign on a five year contract.
