Paul Pogba receives backlash over holiday social media post – Get French Football News

Paul Pogba is no stranger to backlash over things that are in and out of his control, even his social media posts. The former World Cup winner took to Instagram to share pictures of his winter holiday with his followers. A simple “selfie” of him in front of snow covered mountains received a huge response of anger from users stating things like, “Go train, our patience is running out.” Or, “When are you going to stop stealing your salary?“
Another account joked, “Rest, you have done too much for this year.“
There were some genuine comments of concern such as, “I like you, but if you go skiing, how do you recover from your injuries?”
The French superstar is still recovering from knee surgery due to an injury he picked up in a pre-season training camp session. Though he has not yet played this season he hopes to make his return to football by the end of January.
Pogba’s return to Turin was almost a symbolic hard reset for the player who had such a difficult time at Manchester United. While his theatrics and flamboyancy can be argued over, his work ethic has never been in question.
