Lionel Scaloni on the World Cup final: “I have decided the team”

Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni has revealed that he has already decided the team for the upcoming FIFA World Cup final on Sunday.

The Albiceleste have used about three different shapes in the World Cup so far and against the Netherlands, they used a 3-5-2 shape. Reports have stated during training ahead of the final against France, Scaloni used a 4-3-3, a 4-4-2 and a 3-5-2 with the players.

In the press conference before the game, Scaloni spoke about the eleven that will start against France and he stated: “I have it decided, now we have the last practice. Anyway, they will know it.

“Even before I give it to them, but it can be either of the two options. Our way of playing goes beyond the system, The way we are going to play will be the way we think we can do the most damage to the rival and what he can do best to us”.

When playing in a back three, Argentina have used Lisandro Martinez, Cristian Romero and Nicolas Otamendi at the back.
