Bayern Munich and Newcastle interested in Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier – Get French Football News

[ad_1]

RMC Sport report this afternoon that Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier could be set to leave this transfer window, with the former Lorient man notably a target of Bayern Munich.

The Bavarians are on the lookout for a stand-in for the injured Manuel Neuer, who will be out of action for the rest of the season, and are interested in the Frenchman’s profile. Newcastle are also among the potential destinations, while Chelsea are in the race, but are the furthest away of the three teams.

However, Leeds have no interest in parting ways with the Breton, who became the youngest goalkeeper to rack up 50 Premier League appearances. Since making the move to the other side of the Channel, the 22-year-old has over a century of games for his current team. The club are aware that replacing him this winter will be a tall order, with no indication of an asking price having filtered through so far.
