Barcelona show ‘concrete’ interest in summer move for Benjamin Pavard – Get French Football News

According to Fabrizio Romano, FC Barcelona are now showing ‘concrete interest‘ in signing Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard (26) for the summer transfer window. The Italian journalist says that the Frenchman is considered a potential target, but will depend on the conditions of a potential deal.

Romano also reports that contact has already taken place with Barcelona, citing reports from German press. Pavard’s contract runs out in 2024.

Today also saw Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic admit that he has had discussions with the player in a bid to see him remain at the Bundesliga club. He said that “whether Pavard is in contact with other clubs or not, I don’t care.”

The France international has played on 13 occasions in the Bundesliga this season, with one goal to his name. In European competition, Pavard has played six matches and scored two goals, coming off the back of what was a disappointing World Cup campaign for the Frenchman, who did not feature following his calamitous display against Australia in the opening match.
