Auxerre in talks over loan deal for Marseille’s Isaak Touré – Get French Football News

[ad_1]

Mohamed Toubache-Ter has revealed that relegation-threatened AJ Auxerre are in talks with Olympique de Marseille over a loan move for Isaak Touré (19).

L’Équipe first revealed that Marseille were looking to loan out Touré, who signed from Ligue 2 side Le Havre this summer. However, since his arrival, Touré has found gametime hard to come by, only making five appearances in Ligue 1 this season. Touré chose to sign for Les Phocéens despite interest from Premier League giants Manchester City.

A loan move is therefore envisaged, with the aim of affording Touré more gametime and thus furthering his development. Toubache-Ter now reports that Ligue 1 side Auxerre are interested in the centre-back. The relegation-threatened club, currently 17th in Ligue 1, are in talks to bring the player in on loan this January. This information has since been confirmed by France Bleu. The loan would see him play the rest of the 2022/23 season at Auxerre, where he would be tasked with helping ensure the club’s survival in France’s top flight.
