Atlético Madrid to extend João Félix’s contract until 2027

Atlético Madrid will extend João Félix’s contract until 2027 before he completes a loan move to Chelsea, according to Marca.

Everything is ready for the player to leave Atlético and join Chelsea but there are still a few things missing. The operation involving the Premier League side will be a loan deal without an option to buy.

The Portuguese player’s contract expires in 2026, but Atlético want to extend it to 2027. When his contract situation with the Spanish club is resolved, it will be possible to announce his loan to Chelsea until 30 June 2023.
