According to Fabrizio Romano, Atalanta midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi is headed to Marseille. The price of the Ukrainian midfielder’s transfer will reportedly cost OM around 12 million €. It seems the midfielder has agreed to a long-term deal with the Ligue 1 club. The clubs should make it official when they sign off on the deal sometime next week.
The 29-year-old-year has been with the Italian club since 2019. In his time with the club, he has made 115 appearances and scored 23 goals. Before Atalanta, the midfielder made a name for himself with Genk in the Belgian Pro League. At the national team level, he has also raked up 51 appearances and scored 7 goals.
Outside of his abilities on the field, many may recall that he expressed his feelings about the war in his home country by showing a shirt that read ‘NO WAR IN UKRAINE’ after scoring a goal against Olympiakos.
