Alexander Nübel says that talk of Bayern Munich return is “disturbing” him – Get French Football News

RMC Sport report that Alexander Nübel (26) is “disturbed” by talk of a potential early return to Bayern Munich. The German goalkeeper’s loan move to AS Monaco runs until the end of the season.

Speaking to RMC after Monaco’s 3-2 Ligue 1 victory against Auxerre on Wednesday, the German goalkeeper said he was “disrupted” by the idea of an early return. Nübel has been at Monaco for 18 months, with his two-year loan coming to an end at the end of the 2022/23 season.

However, as he told Get French Football News in an exclusive interview in September, Nübel believes it makes “no sense” to return to the Bavarian club whilst Manuel Neuer is still the number one. However, whilst on holiday, Neuer has suffered a season-ending leg break, leaving Bayern Munich in search of a stand-in. Recalling Nübel is an obvious option.

However, as revealed by sources contacted by Get French Football News, Nübel is not keen on a return. He is enjoying his time in Monaco, and he wants certain assurances about gametime post-Neuer injury. Speaking to RMC, Nübel has now said that talk of a move is “disturbing” him. There is no clause which obliges Monaco to allow Nübel to leave, meaning that Bayern Munich must negotiate with the Principality side in order to repatriate the German goalkeeper.

Speaking to Prime Video Sport after Monaco’s victory over Auxerre, Monaco manager Philippe Clement said that Nübel was “focused” and “involved.”
