Following an extended break after Wales’ ill-fated World Cup campaign, Nice midfielder Aaron Ramsey has returned to training this Monday, according to RMC Sport.
With the 32-year-old and his national team ending their time in Qatar at the group stages – a draw against the USA before two defeats, to Iran and England – Ramsey had been absent for Les Aiglons’ return to domestic action last week.
His manager Lucien Favre had indicated to the press at the start of last week that the disappointment in Doha had been hard for the former Juventus and Arsenal man to digest, and that he had not returned yet. The club would later clarify that the Welshman was expected back this week.
Since making the move to the other side of the Alps, Ramsey has 16 appearances in all competitions for Nice – only five of which being Ligue 1 starts – and scored once.
