LFP president Vincent Labrune spoke to the press on of his arrival to the French Football Federation headquarters where the executive committee will meet to discuss the position of president Noël Le Graët.
He reportedly told L’Équipe that “the status quo is no longer an option” on his arrival to the headquarters based in the 15th Arrondissement in Paris. The meeting has just gone underway at the FFF’s offices, as it brings together league administrators and the highest level of representatives of football administrators in France.
Meanwhile in scenes outside the meeting there are protests being held calling the for resignation of Noël Le Graët, who has been the subject of controversy for several months. Accusations on sexual harassment, homophobia, and sexism still stand against the federation president – as revealed by So Foot’s investigation into France’s national football body.
Le Graët further angered the world of French football with what was widely considered as disrespectful remarks made about Zinedine Zidane, in which he said that he “does not give a toss” about whether Zidane will take the Brazil national team job, and that he would not even pick up the phone if he called him.
