FFF General Manager Florence Hardouin in intensive care after suffering heart attack – Get French Football News

L’Équipe report this evening that the French FA’s General Manager Florence Hardouin remains in intensive care after suffering a heart attack yesterday, on finding out that the organisation’s executive board had taken the decision to suspend her of her duties.

Hardouin was made aware of the decision via the press at home, and begun to feel sharp chest pains on finding out.  She is now hospitalised, and according to her doctors the emotional impact of the news and high stress levels are what led to the incident.

Tensions between Hardouin and FFF president Noël Le Graët – who has stepped back from his duties following yesterday’s meeting – were at a high of late, with the General Manager aware that the head of the FA was in favour of her departure. Hardouin had also openly criticised Le Graët’s dismissive remarks on Zinédine Zidane last week, which had caused the wide-ranging backlash against the president of late.
